2024/12/02 December 2nd is Dates Day: 50 Years of Otafuku's Journey with Dates!
December 2nd is celebrated as "Dates Day," established by Otafuku Sauce Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Hiroshima City; President: Takatomi Sasaki).
In European countries, dried dates are used in various ways, such as in cakes, stollen, and other Christmas treats, or as snacks to accompany wine, making them an essential part of the holiday season.
Our company created "Dates Day" on December 2nd, inspired by the wordplay of December (D) and the number 2 (Two), with the hope of encouraging people in Japan to enjoy dates. The day was officially recognized by the Japan Anniversary Association in April 2020.
